How it all started, why it started and when it started…

The idea all started during Covid while living in Boca Raton, FL and a dream was born. After being in lock down for quite some time, all I knew was that I needed to get back to my roots and be out in the country again. I am someone who has traveled the world and I love being outside in nature. So, it was hard for me to be in lockdown. I wanted to be in a space where I could be free and let my daughter run free in nature. I wanted to feel the warm summer breeze, smell the bon fire smoke on my clothes and watch my daughter make s’mores. With all that nostalgic energy flowing through my body, my mind started to race with ideas. I knew that I wanted to create a glamping experience that the Olean area has never experienced before in their own backyard. So the hunt for property began. Once I found the right place, I needed to begin from scratch. I knew nothing about the glamping industry, I just knew it would be a great addition to the area and I could figure it out.

So, flash forward to 2023 and here we are. Building a glamping resort from the ground up, figuring it out as we go. The property is 93 acres total with over 70 acres of just woods with awesome trails, scenic views of the Enchanted Mountains and star gazing skies on a clear night. My dad has taken over the construction aspect of things and has began building and bringing our vision to life. We use some new, but mostly repurposed materials to keep it’s rustic charm but also modernizing things to give it more of an aesthetic appeal. We are starting small but excited to watch this baby evolve into a place where families, friends and strangers can come to make the best memories. We are dedicated to connecting the guests to the outdoors through experiences in nature. Our plans don’t stop at the glamping tents & camping sites we hope to bring many fun outdoor & wellness activities for everyone to enjoy. A place where we can host events for special occasions for years to come. Firefly Acres is where we want to bring magic and memories all into one.
